About This Tour
New Horizon is a stunning 21-metre traditional sailing vessel that has beautiful old-world charm with modern comforts such as air conditioning, accommodating up to 32 passengers and 4 crew. She is a 21m sailing schooner with 2 showers, 2 toilets, plenty of sheltered outdoor spaces and beautifully sun tanning space — and notably the only budget vessel with air con. Her beds are spacious and comfortable, with 8 doubles and 16 singles.
This is a super-social 2-day 2-night backpacker boat with the perfect combination between chilled and a party atmosphere on a tall ship. She visits both the epic Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet and is the perfect balance between chilled and party vibes. New Horizon is one of the last solid timber boats built in Tasmania, making her a very strong, seaworthy boat with beautiful hardwood decks, beautifully restored timber bunks below, a dive board, dining room and movie lounge.
She has a new dive board which is fun for those who have always wanted to walk the plank. Enjoy movies on request in the movie lounge on comfy bean bags. Being fully air-conditioned throughout makes for a very comfortable night's sleep during the tropical months. Her huge deck space allows for plenty of sun bathing, and her covered areas are ideal for all weather conditions.
Age requirement: This tour is 18+ (18–35 recommended). No hard cases or luggage with wheels. No glass bottles. No red wine on board.
Public Holiday Surcharge: If your trip is at sea during a public holiday, a $40 surcharge is payable at check-in. Departures subject to change over the holiday season.

Itinerary
Get ready to embark on an action-packed journey! Arrive at the designated meeting point at the time specified on your boarding pass. Our friendly crew will be there to greet you and check you in for your trip. Once everyone is settled and ready to go, you will be guided down to the vessel where your adventure truly begins.
After a safety briefing and smooth departure, it's time to kick back, relax, and let the fun begin. Cruise through Bauer Bay at South Molle where you can have a swim and play on the waterslide. Next you will head towards Hook Passage which will be your anchorage for the night. Freshen up with a shower while the crew are preparing your delicious evening meal.
After dinner let the drinks flow while you mingle with your newfound friends, watch the sunset and prepare for a night of music and fun games — but don't party too hard as you will have a full day ahead of you.
Start the morning off early with a hearty breakfast and coffee to wash away the cobwebs from the night before. Today you will sail to Tongue Bay on Whitsunday Island. The crew will take you for a short bush walk to Hill Inlet lookout to take in the magnificent views — don't forget to pack your camera so you can capture this special memory. On the other side of Tongue Point awaits Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy some time here relaxing, sun baking and swimming in the crystal-clear waters.
Head back to the vessel to enjoy a beautifully prepared buffet lunch while the crew sail you off to one of the best scuba diving and snorkelling destinations where you can immerse yourself in an unbelievable underwater experience with marine life such as Māori Wrasse, sea turtles and other colourful fish & coral.
You will then visit another location where the waterslides, paddleboards and heated spa will be ready for you as you enjoy playing on the Whitsundays' biggest playground on water. After finishing up with an afternoon of water activities, the crew will head to the exclusive beach for a white party (weather permitting). Bring your white attire, sense of fun, watch the sunset and party the night away.
Wake up! Wake up! Start your morning with some breakfast and cure the hangover with a dip in the ocean via the waterslide, enjoy some water activities or just chill on the deck before you head back to the mainland.
We are back to the mainland but the party does not need to end here! So let's have one last night together with an exclusive after party at Mama Africa's! Your last hoorah with the crew and your newfound friends as you get exclusive VIP discounts on drinks.

Open dated bookings require 14 days notice before your scheduled start date.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations within 21 days of departure incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations between 28–365 days before departure receive a full refund.

- If you have purchased an open-dated ticket, surcharges may apply at check-in if your ticket is redeemed for a peak period.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Adventure travel involves risk.
- Whitsunday Sailing Adventures and its related bodies corporate are not the owner or operator of any vessel on which passengers sail and shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered.
